What can you use the app for?

Tangle was previously known as God Tube before it was reincarnated as its current name and design. Its concepts remain exactly the same though and are completely unchanged. The purpose of this site is to allow users to talk to their friends, family and colleagues. It’s possible to make your own blog, and also share videos with other users of the site. The site only accepts Christian videos; any other videos will be removed very quickly. The site does this by asking users to flag any content that they believe is not suitable, and they also have software to filter as much unwanted content out as possible. There’s even a copy of the bible online which just goes to show how religious the site is.

What are the differences to other apps?

There are more than enough video sharing websites on the internet, the most famous one being YouTube. However Tangle is a little different, this site is aimed specially at a niche market. How does the web app look and feel to use?

Tangle has quite an attractive design and it has gotten rid of the branding that they used to have on the old god tube site. Now looking at it you wouldn’t immediately realize that it is in fact a religious video sharing website. One very annoying thing about the site is that you need to log in to read blogs or do many things, although this isn’t the end of the world it is a little frustrating.

How does the registration process work?

Signing up for an account shouldn’t take long; you just need to fill out the form by entering your name, email address, country and zip code. You will then be sent an email you must read this email and follow the instructions to activate your account. Once you have confirmed your account you will then be automatically logged into the site where you can set your status and adjust various other settings.

What does it cost to use the application?

It’s free to use Tangle, and they don’t seem to send round the collection plate either. They do have some adverts on the site; however this isn’t a real problem.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Tangle is a great site for anyone who’s religious and looking for a way to connect with like minded individuals. It’s also a really nice video sharing website as you don’t have any problem with videos that might offend. All of the videos must be Christian otherwise they will be removed.
